Contra-indications, Medical Advice, Cautions for Sound Therapy
Sound therapy/ sound healing is classified as low risk holistic/complimentary treatment.
However, there are a few conditions that are contra-indicated so at this time no therapy can be carried out, Some contra indications where we will require you to seek advise from your medical provider before embarking on treatment and some contra indications where cautions apply.

The following are contra-indicated for sound therapy (no treatment can take place)
• Severe Mental health conditions such as paranoid schizophrenia, severe personality disorders, psychosis
or bi-polar (unmanaged)
• Anyone in their first trimester of pregnancy
• Recent metal Implants
• Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs
The following require prior checking with a Medical Adviser
• Sound induced epilepsy
• Pacemaker, heart issues. If the Medical Adviser consents a minimum distance of 20cm from any implanted heart pacemaker, heart area will be maintained
• Any other electrical device/ implant fitted
The following require caution
• Tinnitus – during a session, sound therapy can either mask the tinnitus or it can make it worse or uncomfortable
• Migraine, headache - sound therapy may make this condition worse or uncomfortable
• Metal implants –sound vibrations may be felt differently in areas with metal implants
